Daystar Excessively Solid For TUK On KHF league


Daystar College blanked Specialized College of Kenya 30-23 in a Kenya Handball Organization (KHF) association conflict at Nyayo Public Arena.


It was a confidence helping win for Daystar, who are set out toward the Kenya College Sports Affiliation (Kusa) games in Kakamega on Friday.


"We went delayed on this game. We would have rather not utilized energy with an eye on the Kusa games," said Daystar mentor Martin Kamau.


"I allowed every one of my players an opportunity. I possibly brought my senior players when they (TUK) shut in at 20-19."


"After I steadied the boat, I again made changes and the young men did well for the rest of the match. I'm content with their work."


Daystar took a nearby 22-20 benefit at half time and were lifted by Philip Kiplagat, who lead the scoring count with seven objectives.


Beian Barasa, Branndon Barasa and Amos Okwako scored four objectives each for the victors. Oliver Valetine had five and Alan Ombati and Polycarp Rakama had four a piece for the failures.


Engineers beat Kaloleni-based Dark Mamba 27-23 in one more tie that had the groups locked at 8-8 at the breather.


Julius Birenge drove the champs with eight objectives and Samuel Waiganjo hit five. Mamba had 10 objectives from Bethwel Kiprop and five from Sidney Omondi.


It was a productive end of the week for Designers, who had hit TUK 35-24 on Saturday. Birenge was busy again with 11 objectives and Wanganjo added seven.


Julius Ng'ang'a drove the understudies with eight objectives while Mikel Okulo added five.


Association pioneers Ulinzi drove 15-10 at the break however proceeded to make due with a 26-26 draw against Strathmore College.


Abel Weru and Franklin Kiplagat shot four objectives each. Eshiton Situma had nine and Lotyam Mike had seven.


Amazon pipped New Expectation 22-21 in a mowen's experience. Nelly Kanazi counted eight objectives and Rose Atieno stowed six for the victors.
